The Role
This role supports the Group Treasurer in managing and leading the operational and compliance activities within the treasury function.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee treasury operations including trade confirmations and settlements (FX, interest rate and derivative transactions), debt drawdowns, rollovers and repayments.
  • Manage daily cashflow positioning, intragroup funding and liquidity to ensure adequate funding across regulated and unregulated entities.
  • Maintain and enhance treasury management systems (GTreasury), driving system improvements and automation, including AI-enabled functionality.
  • Develop, implement and enforce treasury operational policies, controls and standard operating procedures to strengthen risk management frameworks.
  •  Lead banking and counterparty management, including bank account structures, KYC/AML/CTF compliance, ISDA agreements, guarantees and standby letters of credit.
  • Act as key escalation point for treasury operations, partnering with commercial finance, shared services and external banks to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across Treasury and broader finance (AP, Revenue, Commercial), contributing to forecasting and operational planning.
The Successful Candidate
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • 5–10+ years’ experience in senior finance/commercial roles, with demonstrated expertise in treasury and risk management within large or complex organisations.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial and debt capital markets, including FX, money markets and derivative products.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic and critical thinker with experience in business process analysis, systems selection and project management.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
