Are you a technically-grounded Facilities professional looking to lead the operations of a landmark asset?
Joining a leading global Real Estate Services provider , you will take the operational lead for one of Sydney’s most iconic Office Towers . This role is specifically designed for a Technical Facilities Manager who thrives on the engineering complexities of a premium high-rise. With significant CAPEX projects and major services upgrades scheduled over the next two years, we are looking for a specialist who speaks the language of building services and infrastructure.
The Role
As the Senior Facilities Manager, your focus will be on the technical integrity and operational efficiency of the tower. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will oversee complex HVAC, electrical, fire and security systems while ensuring the asset remains at the forefront of engineering excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engineering & Maintenance Oversight: Coordinating the effective management of all property services, ensuring all plant and equipment operate at peak efficiency.
- Technical Compliance: Acting as the primary authority for Fire Safety Statements, essential services certification, and statutory engineering standards.
- CAPEX & Lifecycle Planning: Leading the technical delivery of major capital expenditure projects, from infrastructure upgrades to complex plant replacements.
- Sustainability & Performance: Identifying and implementing advanced energy, water, and waste conservation initiatives to maintain the asset’s premium sustainability rating.
- Contractor Strategy: Managing specialist technical contractors, ensuring their work meets the highest engineering standards and adheres to strict site-specific risk management plans.
- Project Integration: Assisting in managing the tenant refurbishment process, ensuring all technical commissioning and handover data is accurate and compliant.
This role requires a high level of technical literacy. You are likely an FM professional who holds a formal engineering/building services qualification or has mechanical or electrical trade quals.
Your background will include:
- Commercial High-Rise Expertise: Proven experience managing Premium or A-Grade CBD assets with complex central plant and vertical transportation.
- Project Delivery: Demonstrated success in managing significant CAPEX budgets and technical building upgrades.
- Compliance Rigour: Deep knowledge of WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and the NCC/BCA.
- Technical Communication: The ability to translate complex engineering issues into clear commercial advice for landlords and stakeholders.
