About the opportunity

Capstone is partnering with a leading NSW Government agency responsible for delivering social and affordable housing across the state. The agency plays a central role in increasing housing supply and improving outcomes for people and communities across New South Wales. This is an opportunity to join the Housing Strategy and Policy team in a role that combines commercial governance, project coordination and policy delivery. You'll contribute to high-profile initiatives that have a lasting impact on the people of NSW.

What you'll do

• Support commercial governance and reporting, including commercial management across development and construction initiatives
• Manage Expressions of Interest (EOI) processes for development and construction projects
• Coordinate management agreements with Community Housing Providers (CHPs)
• Prepare executive reporting, presentations, briefs and evidence-based advice for review by senior staff
• Support project planning and coordination, including tracking actions, timelines and deliverables
• Collate, analyse and synthesise information to support policy and project outcomes
• Coordinate the flow of information and manage processes across multiple workstreams
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, coordinating input and maintaining effective working relationships
• Contribute to the delivery of policy, strategy and reform initiatives aligned with organisational priorities
• Work collaboratively across the Housing Strategy and Policy team and the broader agency to deliver outcomes

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience, with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
• Strong policy development capability and strategic delivery experience in complex government environments
• Cultural capability and an informed understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels
• Experience in, or exposure to, complex policy or reform environments, including the ability to analyse information and contribute to evidence-based advice
• Knowledge of legislation and government processes relevant to housing or similar public sector environments
• The ability to work with minimal supervision across multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines on time-critical projects
• A high level of attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality outcomes
