About the Opportunity
An established Melbourne-based property investment group is seeking a Fund Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in the creation, implementation and ongoing operation of property investment funds.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused position offering exposure across the full investment lifecycle — from fund structuring and documentation through to compliance, investor reporting and ongoing fund governance.
Operating within a lean, high-performing team, this role suits a technically strong professional who enjoys responsibility, autonomy and working closely with senior decision-makers.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Fund Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring investment funds are established, documented and operated in line with legal, taxation and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Fund Development & Structuring

Establish new fund and investment structures, including constitutions and associated documentation

Liaise with legal advisers to prepare and finalise fund documentation

Partner with capital transactions teams to ensure structures align with investment strategy

Assess and implement alternative investment structures where appropriate
Investor Documentation

Coordinate preparation of Information Memorandums, term sheets and disclosure material

Draft and review investor documentation content

Manage verification, sign-off and final production processes
Fund Implementation & Operations

Oversee implementation of funds following capital raising

Liaise with asset management teams to ensure distributions and investor servicing align with disclosed outcomes

Ensure ongoing operation of funds remains consistent with stated objectives
Compliance, Legal & Tax

Maintain compliance with AFSL obligations
-
Oversee governance, compliance frameworks and regulatory reporting

Liaise with external legal, tax and advisory providers

Ensure day-to-day fund operations comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
About You
You are a technically capable fund operations or investment professional who thrives in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.
You will ideally bring:

Experience in fund operations, funds management, investment operations, or financial services - knowledge of prop

Strong knowledge of managed investment schemes, fund structures and investor documentation

Understanding of AFSL compliance requirements

Experience working with legal, tax and external service providers
-
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently
Property or real estate investment exposure will be highly regarded but is not essential.
