About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Functional Team Manager to lead a dynamic team supporting a large-scale Electronic Medical Record (EMR) program based on the TrakCare platform.
This Warrnambool-based role offers an exceptional opportunity to combine leadership in Digital Health with the relaxed lifestyle of Victoria’s stunning southwest coast.
In this key position, you’ll oversee system configuration, optimisation, and ongoing delivery of TrakCare across multiple healthcare sites.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Digital Health or Health Informatics, with a proven ability to balance strategic leadership, governance, and hands-on operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Functional Analysts and Service Delivery Specialists supporting TrakCare operations and enhancements.
- Coordinate and oversee BAU requests, incident management, and system upgrades to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
- Establish and maintain strong governance, communication, and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
- Partner with clinical and business leaders to align system functionality with operational and patient care needs.
- Guide configuration and integration activities in collaboration with technical and vendor teams.
- Foster a high-performance team culture that emphasises accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Manage performance, development, and recruitment of team members to support ongoing capability growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance usability, compliance, and system optimisation.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience within Digital Health or Health Informatics, ideally with exposure to TrakCare or similar EMR systems.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams with strong stakeholder and governance management capabilities.
- A balance of strategic thinking and operational execution — comfortable managing people and also getting hands-on with delivery.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with a collaborative and pragmatic approach.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related discipline.
- Desirable certifications such as PRINCE2®, Prosci®, PMP, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma will be highly regarded.
