The Role

The Senior Finance Manager is a key member of the Hospital Executive Team managing the end-to-end finance function of a high-profile Private Hospital, while also leading key non-clinical support services including Administration, Accounts, Bookings & Admissions, Health Information and Procurement.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the primary financial and commercial advisor to the Executive Team and line managers to maximise hospital performance
  • Timely and accurate preparation and submission of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and reports to the Hospital Executive and Corporate Office
  • Preparation and presentation of the Annual Budget and Reforecasts
  • Analyse operating results and provide insightful commentary, ensuring Capital and Operating Expenditure remains tightly controlled
  • Present business cases for major equipment, service expansion opportunities and capital projects to the Group Executive Leadership Team
  • Lead and manage non-clinical support services teams, ensuring managers understand their benchmarks, KPIs and broader responsibilities
  • Drive workforce planning, professional development, succession planning and performance management across direct reports
  • Support quality improvement, accreditation, financial risk management and WH&S compliance across the facility
About You
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Strong technical accounting, management reporting and analytical skills
  • Well-developed leadership and people management capability
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build trusted advisor relationships with business leaders and influence operational outcomes
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide practical, strategic financial guidance
  • Experience within Private Healthcare or other complex service-based environments will be highly regarded
