Exciting opportunity work on a large Solar + BESS development in regional NSW.
  
The Role
As the Electrical Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and managing all electrical engineering activities onsite during the construction and commissioning phases of the project.
  
Duties will include:  
  • Ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines
  • Coordinating with contractors, design engineers and Owner’s Engineers, and the contractor commissioning team to achieve successful project delivery.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with local electrical codes, regulations, and international standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, AS).
  • Enforce site-specific safety procedures related to electrical hazards; conduct regular safety inspections and monitor compliance.
  • Participate in safety training, toolbox talks, and audits for electrical personnel onsite.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring project standards, quality, and deadlines are met.
  • Other duties as required
  
This is an initial 18 month contract position, that may extend to 24 months. This site is based near Dubbo, and will have share-housing available from January 2026. FIFO is an option for the right candidate.
  
Salary is up to $173, 000 + super.

Requirements
The successful candidate will possess:
  
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years’ experience in site-based electrical engineering, preferably in renewable energy, power generation, or HV/MV transmission/distribution projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems including transformers, switchgear, HV/MV/LV cables, protection systems, BESS, PV and grid interconnection.
  • Experience with electrical–civil interfaces (earthing, conduits, trenching, bunding, etc.).
