A leading real estate manager and developer with a national portfolio across industrial, logistics, business park and office assets is looking for a Development Analyst to join a small, high performing development finance team.
About the role
Working alongside the development managers to support them with feasibility management, supporting feasibility analysis and reporting across the development pipeline
- Manage cash flow modelling and scenario analysis, stepping in when models get complex
- Build and enhance Excel financial models and reporting tools
- Analyse potential developments, expansions and divestments
- Bring AI assisted tools into feasibility modelling and reporting to cut manual work
- Partner closely with development managers, finance and senior leadership, and push back on assumptions when the numbers do not stack up
Essential
- Development analyst experience in property or real estate
- Advanced Excel skills, comfortable building models from scratch
- Confident communicator who can explain the numbers and hold their ground
- Strong financial aptitude and commercial acumen
- Degree in Property Economics or Finance
- Yardi experience, or comparable systems such as MRI, Cougar or ARGUS would be advantageous but not essential
- Excellent with Excel
- A strong understanding of development and the assumptions
- Direct exposure to senior development leadership in a nimble, collaborative team
- A genuine national pipeline of major industrial and logistics projects
- A clear springboard into development management, investment management, finance or capital transactions
- Melbourne based, minimum 3 days a week in office
