As the Commercial Manager, you will work alongside the Pre-Construction team to lead all commercial negotiations for Balance of Plant works and OEM, ensuring the team has a robust understanding and management of key contractual terms. You will proactively identify, negotiate, and resolve commercial issues including those arising from multi-party interfaces and evolving market standards.
Day to day duties will include:
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact for contractors during the pre-construction phase, ensuring that all commercial terms align with project strategy and risk appetite.
- Prepare tender documentation and manage the contracting process.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting key contractual terms relevant to the renewables sector.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that reflect current market conditions and contractor expectations in the renewables sector.
- Maintain a strong network within the contractor market, leveraging relationships to inform negotiation strategies and anticipate market shifts.
Salary based on experience, including a bonus incentive.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will exhibit:
- 7-10+ years’ experience with quantifiable results in contract negotiation, administration, and management.
- Experience within the Renewable Energy and/or Energy industry
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Construction Management, Engineering or Business desirable
- In-depth knowledge of commercial and contractual issues unique to renewables (e.g., grid connection, technology interfaces, regulatory compliance)
