Opportunity to be a part of significant growth

Join this leading insulation supply and installation business, who are growing fast across Auckland. With the H1 building code changes reshaping what every new residential build requires, the timing couldn't be better for a sharp Sales Rep or BDM to get in front of builders, architects, and designers who are actively looking for solutions.

As the Auckland Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for a substantial and growing territory — working with local builders and the wider Auckland building industry network to drive and increase the sales of insulation products and solutions. You'll also be engaging with architects, designers, and specifiers early in the design process to get Eco Insulation written into project specs before ground is even broken.

This isn't an order-taking role. It's a genuine hunter/farmer position — protecting and deepening existing relationships while actively prospecting for new ones.

What You'll Be Doing

You've spent years in the building products industry. You know the difference between a good builder and a great one. You understand what drives purchasing decisions on-site, and what it takes to sell a great solution and product.

Key responsibilities:

  • Running a structured call cycle across builders and ITM stores throughout greater Auckland
  • Helping builders and clients navigate H1 compliance — positioning yourself as the expert, not just a rep
  • Getting in front of architects and designers at the specification stage to influence product selection
  • Demonstrating the H1 compliance tool and making it indispensable for the people who use it
  • Tracking your pipeline through CRM, reporting monthly on performance and market intelligence
  • Working alongside the GM Sales & Marketing and National Sales Manager to chase growth opportunities
What You'll Bring

You'll have a solid grounding in the building products industry — insulation, timber, cladding, roofing, joinery, or similar — and the kind of practical knowledge that earns respect from tradespeople and professionals alike.

Beyond that, we're looking for:

  • Proven B2B sales experience in a field-based role, ideally selling into residential construction
  • Real understanding of how buildings go together — from foundations to fit-out, and everything that goes in the walls
  • Existing relationships within the Auckland builder or merchant network (a genuine advantage)
  • Familiarity with H1 regulations or a fast ability to get across them
  • A structured approach — you plan your week, you work your call cycle, and you close
  • CRM discipline — you record what matters and use your data to sell smarter
Why This Role, Why Now

H1 compliance is front of mind for every builder putting up a residential project in New Zealand right now. That's your opening line.

Then the sell or more importantly the solution. This company has the products, the installation capability, and the tools to make compliance straightforward — your job is to make sure Auckland's building community knows it.

This is a company that will genuinely look after you and support your career growth. You'll have the backing of a strong national team, a defined territory that's yours to develop, and an attractive earning potential tied to your results.

Please apply with your CV and a brief cover note on why you're the best person for the job.
