This is an embedded, hands-on role working directly within a production and construction team environment — not a traditional consulting position. You will play a key role in the design, certification, and ongoing evolution of a scalable, innovative building system.
- Provide RPEQ certification for residential designs and structural systems
- Design and review precast concrete wall panels
- Design footings, slabs, and structural connections
- Develop panel-to-panel and panel-to-slab interfaces
- Engineer second-storey and modular elements
- Ensure compliance with the NCC and relevant Australian Standards
- Support multiple concurrent builds across South East Queensland
- Review site conditions and adapt designs accordingly
- Resolve site issues with practical, timely solutions
- Liaise with site supervisors, certifiers, and external consultants
- Build internal engineering capability and documentation
- Develop standard design libraries and pre-engineered solutions
- Establish QA and documentation systems
- Integrate engineering processes into internal workflows and software
- RPEQ certification (mandatory)
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural engineering
- Strong knowledge of residential construction
- Proven experience with concrete design
- Experience in precast or modular construction
- Background in high-volume housing delivery
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles
- Practical, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to work on the tools
