Senior Project Manager – Industrial Relations & Payroll Remediation

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid)
Contract: Fixed Term / Contract
Program Value: $6M


We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a high-profile Industrial Relations (IR) and Payroll Remediation program . This role is responsible for driving delivery across multiple workstreams, stabilising payroll outcomes, and embedding sustainable processes and behaviours across the organisation.

This is a hands-on delivery role suited to a structured, pragmatic project manager who can operate confidently in complex workforce, payroll, and compliance environments.

About the Role

You will take ownership of a $6M remediation program focused on IR compliance, payroll accuracy, and workforce process uplift. Working closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Technology, and senior leaders, you will bring clarity, discipline, and momentu to a program with high organisational visibility.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Lead and deliver a multi-stream IR and payroll remediation program
  • Implement strong project structure, governance, and delivery methodology
  • Identify and fix process gaps and behavioural issues impacting payroll and compliance outcomes
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies across concurrent workstreams
  • Provide clear, executive-level reporting and insights on progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders, unions, vendors, and internal teams

Skills & Experience
 
  • Proven experience delivering Industrial Relations, payroll remediation, or workforce compliance programs
  • Strong end-to-end project management capability across complex initiatives
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams within large, regulated environments
  • Demonstrated ability to stabilise operations, improve processes, and embed sustainable change
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience with payroll and workforce systems.

Highly Desirable
 
  • Experience with Dayforce payroll and workforce management systems
