The group is highly acquisitive, continues to launch new funds and manages a large and diversified portfolio spanning premium Commercial, Industrial and Retail assets.
The Role
The Senior Finance Manager supports the Group Financial Controller in the preparation and delivery of financial statements in accordance with ASX reporting requirements , while overseeing key month-end reporting activities for the Group.
This role also offers exposure to a range of strategic and technical initiatives , including interpreting accounting standards, advising on major real estate transactions and driving systems and process improvements across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee group and responsible entity financial statements in accordance with IFRS and ASX reporting requirements, including half-year and year-end reporting.
- Manage the HY/YE reporting timetable and external audit process, including coordination of supporting materials for ARCC and Board reporting.
- Lead month-end close processes, including timetables, reconciliations, analytical review of results and maintenance of general ledger integrity.
- Oversee accounting and reporting for a $3bn group investment balance sheet, including high-volume transaction activity and related analysis.
- Manage regulatory, treasury covenant and tax compliance reporting, including domestic and international returns (FBT, GST, ITR).
- Deliver management and sector performance reporting, partnering with business leaders on analysis of actual vs forecast, budgeting and forecasting.
- Maintain financial systems, dashboards and governance processes (Power BI, GS007, equity plans), while building strong relationships across finance and the broader group.
- CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Chartered-trained in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm, with strong audit foundations and/or a blend of practice and commercial experience.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting within a complex or regulated environment.
- ASX-listed reporting experience strongly preferred.
- Exposure to property, funds management or complex group structures (e.g. stapled entities / consolidations) advantageous.
- Experience with Power BI, DAX or similar data visualisation tools desirable.
