The Role
The Senior Commercial Finance Manager provides strategic financial leadership across a high-value portfolio spanning grid-scale batteries, REZ developments, major infrastructure delivery and energy trading.
Partnering closely with senior executives, you will deliver forward-looking commercial insight, rigorous investment evaluation and constructive challenge — driving disciplined capital allocation, strong governance and risk-adjusted value creation across this capital-intensive portfolio.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead commercial partnering across major capital investments, REZ developments and battery programs
- Provide financial leadership and oversight of battery trading across community and grid-scale operations
- Influence executive decision-making through scenario modelling and strategic analysis
- Strengthen trading governance, controls and risk frameworks
- Own portfolio performance reporting, forecasting and commercial insights
- Uplift business case quality and investment evaluation standards
- Lead and develop a high-performing commercial finance team
- 10+ years’ experience in commercial finance, infrastructure investment or strategic business partnering
- Proven experience supporting large-scale capital or real asset portfolios
- Advanced financial modelling and investment evaluation capability
- Strong executive stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Experience leading or mentoring high-performing finance professionals
- Degree in Finance, Commerce or Economics (CA/CPA/CFA preferred)
- Exposure to energy markets, trading environments or major infrastructure programs advantageous
