Property & Finance Administrator

The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property & Finance Administrator to join the team responsible for the financial and operational management of a major commercial property asset in Brisbane’s CBD.

Working closely with the internal management team, this role will provide support across property accounting, financial reporting, tenant administration and operational finance, playing an important role in ensuring the asset is managed accurately and efficiently.

This is a genuinely varied role offering exposure across property management, property accounting, tenant management and commercial operations within a high-profile Brisbane CBD asset.

The Role

The position will have a broad range of responsibilities across property finance and administration, including:
  • Supporting monthly financial reporting, reforecasting, budgeting and end-of-financial-year reporting, including the annual outgoings audit.
  • Managing day-to-day property accounting functions including rent roll processing, tenant receipts and arrears, account reconciliations, journals, tenant charges and real estate deposits.
  • Maintaining accurate tenant, tenancy and lease records, while liaising with client finance teams on property accounting matters.
  • Supporting the Operations team with purchase orders, contracts, contractors, expense reviews and general financial and administrative requirements.
  • Assisting with compliance, risk management and audit readiness, as well as attending meetings and following up on resultant actions.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Experience in finance, property administration, property management or a related field, ideally with experience in a property management system such as MRI.
  • Strong Excel capability, including pivot tables, lookups and multi-dimensional formulas, together with a working knowledge of trust accounting policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
