This global group is a leading renewable energy business with a focus on wind and solar generation. They have a strong presence in the Australian market, and this role is based in Sydney CBD.
The Role
As the Pre-Construction Manager, you will be co-ordinating the technical,
commercial, and planning aspects of project execution during
the pre-construction phase, providing the bridge between the development and construction team.
Role duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing technical insight and value engineering during
development of preliminary/DA design - Developing project strategy that best matches the project's
technical characteristics, deadlines, and risks - Develop schedule, risk register, scope of works and project
execution plan - Coordination of the EPC technical exhibits negotiation
within contractors - Developing a proactive approach to risk management
- Supporting the GM Pre-Construction in pre-award negotiations
with contractors, consultants, and suppliers - Support the Contracts teams with development of key
project financial inputs into contracts and delivery e.g.
payment milestones
The Candidate
The successful candidate will exhibit:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in Renewable
projects from the development phase through to FID - Demonstrated experience with Lump-Sum Contracts
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
