The Role

The Finance Director is an integral part of the Exec team and is instrumental in managing the financial and commercial performance of a large and high-profile private Hospital based in Newcastle. Managing the end-to-end finance function for both Hospitals you’ll provide leadership, business partnering support and financial governance.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of daily, weekly, monthly quarterly and annual financial and management accounts and other reports and analysis to the Hospital Execs and to the Corporate Office
  • Provide pro-active business partnering support, through being the commercial link for the facilities and the part of the Executive Team
  • Preparation and presentation of the Annual Budget and Reforecasts
  • Analyse and provide insightful commentary on operating results as required
  • Work with the Executive Team in formulating and presenting business cases for major equipment and/or brownfield projects for presentation to the Group Executive Leadership Team
  • Ensure disciplined capital management of on-going capex requests and maintenance of fixed asset register

The Successful Candidate
 
  • CA/CPA/CFA qualified.
  • Strong technical accounting, management reporting and analytical skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Well-developed leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build trusted advisor relationships with business leaders and influencing operational
  • Knowledge of Private Healthcare will be highly regarded.
