About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, has the primary responsibility for Grounds and Open Spaces across Bankstown & Camden Airports. Additionally, you will have general FM responsibility for a portfolio of building assets.

Working closely with Property, Asset Management, Aviation Operations, Finance, and Infrastructure teams, you will manage building, landscape and grounds maintenance, statutory compliance, contractor performance, and tenant relationships – all within a uniquely regulated aviation environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Management

  • Deliver best-practice FM services ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective outcomes across building and open space assets at both airports
  • Establish and implement landscape, gardens, and grounds maintenance service strategies and tactical delivery of reactive and scheduled services via contractors
  • Maintain building compliance registers, inspect contractor works, & ensure safety, compliance, and quality expectations are met

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar facilities management role with a focus on Grounds and Open Spaces (Horticulture)
  • Demonstrated contractor management, customer engagement and organisational skills will be core to your capabilities
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and think clearly in demanding situations, whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance obligations including AFSS, WHS legislation, and relevant Australian Standards
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
 

Desirable

  • Experience in airports, industrial estates, logistics, or similarly regulated environments
  • Tertiary or trade qualification in Horticulture, Facilities Management, Building, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience with CMMS or property customer service request systems
