The Role
This is a unique opportunity in a desirable lifestyle location.
As Director Community Infrastructure, you will be reporting directly to the General Manager and will be part of the executive team of Council.
This position is pivotal in ensuring the strategic positioning of Council as a regional leader. This role provides leadership across a directorate responsible for both the strategic and operational delivery of Council’s core community infrastructure activities, across transport, stormwater, recreational and fleet assets. This includes overseeing the successful planning, design and execution of key projects across the organisation via efficient project management and robust governance achieving Council’s outcomes.
Planning, design, development and maintenance of key infrastructure for our community, delivered in a safe, responsible and financially sustainable manner is the key purpose of this role. Population growth across the Local Government Area is predicted to continue towards 2050, making the planning and development of key community infrastructure critical to enable the evolution of our region.
About You
You will be an innovative leader and technical expert within civil engineering and asset management, having led infrastructure services within large and complex organisations. In addition to being passionate about the sector, you will be a highly collaborative leader who has experience in embedding a culture of safety, accountability and innovation.
