We are looking for an exceptional Development Director
to lead the execution of the remaining stages, creating a global benchmark for health innovation and urban living.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Development, this senior leadership role carries full accountability for the commercial strategy, stakeholder relationships and delivery of the remaining stages of a 10 stage masterplan.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of up to 15, working across development management, project management, commercial, facilities, finance and legal functions. Alongside active delivery of a tier 1 Commercial & Health project that is secured for the next stage, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new development partnerships and negotiating complex commercial agreements.

What You'll Be Doing
- Strategic Precinct Leadership
- Procurement & engagement of a tier 1 contractor for upcoming stage.
- Delivery & Program Management of major project
- Lead infrastructure planning, design and procurement strategy
- Manage Infrastructure Agreement with EDQ
- Maintain and deepen relationships with key stakeholder groups - public, private and University sector
- Lead negotiations involving complex development agreements, construction contracts and project deed
- Lead, develop and grow a high-performing team, building capability and resilience.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and customer focus
What You'll Bring Experience
- Proven track record delivering complex, multi-use or mixed-use precincts — ideally involving health, residential, education and/or commercial uses
- Demonstrated experience interfacing and negotiating with government counterparties (State or Federal)
- Experience leading diversified teams of consultants, contractors and development professionals
- Familiarity with administering complex commercial agreements including development agreements, construction contracts and project deeds
- Commercial acumen and financial analysis skills — you can model opportunity and articulate value
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into outcomes
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership presence — you inspire, hold others to account, and lead by example
- Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Bias to action, with the resilience and adaptability to thrive in a complex project environment
