City of Brisbane Investment Corporation (CBIC) is seeking an experienced Capital Transactions Manager to lead investment origination, acquisitions and divestments across its growing property portfolio.
Established in 2008 and wholly owned by Brisbane City Council, CBIC manages over $400 million of assets and generates sustainable financial returns that directly benefit the people of Brisbane. Through strategic investment, active portfolio management and disciplined capital deployment, CBIC delivers annual dividends that support the city's future growth and infrastructure initiatives.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Investment Management, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, executing and managing investment opportunities across the portfolio.
As a senior member of a lean and high-performing team, you will be responsible for driving transaction activity from origination through to settlement while contributing to CBIC's investment strategy and market outlook.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing and evaluating acquisition and investment opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong industry relationships across Queensland and national markets
- Developing investment recommendations and presenting opportunities to senior leadership and the Board
- Managing acquisition and divestment processes from due diligence through to completion
- Coordinating legal, financial and technical advisors throughout transaction execution
- Identifying joint venture, co-investment and strategic partnership opportunities
- Contributing to CBIC's investment strategy, market research and house views
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure investment decisions align with portfolio objectives and risk parameters
About You
You are a commercially astute property professional with an established track record in acquisitions, transactions or investment management.
You bring:
- 5+ years' experience within property investment, property finance, transactions, acquisitions or a related field
- Strong financial modelling and investment analysis capability, including advanced Excel skills and exposure to Forbury
- Experience assessing direct property investments and understanding key value drivers and risks
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions and multiple stakeholders
- Excellent presentation, communication and relationship management skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Property, Commerce, Finance, Law or a related discipline
