The Role
The role has a broad remit of responsibilities that will support the CFO to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the finance function. Specific tasks include but are not limited to the following:
- Finalise BAS in Xero and ATO Portal for a number of entities across the group
- Ensure BAS and IAS payments are made
- Reconcile GL with BAS and IAS payments with Xero
- Liaise with ATO as needed
- Prepare year end tax pack for tax agent
- Ensure Xero is up to date and supporting schedules are prepared
- Ensuring tax and accounting depreciation schedules are up to date
- Work directly with tax agent to resolve issues
- Review final tax return for accuracy
- Review Division 7A loan for compliance and ensure minimum loan repayments are made on time
- Ensure trust resolutions are completed prior to year end and on file
- Support completion of FBT return calculations
- Review of payroll and related year end STP reporting
- Assist and prepare reports including variance to budget for development and residential projects in relation to expenses
- Account reconciliations for projects in relation to other debtors and creditors
- Adhoc reporting and data analysis in excel
- Journal processing and general ledger maintenance including processing of monthly journals, prepayments, accruals, intercompany transactions, and recharges as needed
- Month end and year end reporting
- Preparation of special purpose financial statements
- Bank/cash management
CA/CPA with a min of 4 years of experience from either Business Services or the Property sector. Knowledge of tax compliance and family office or property experience is preferred.
