A rare opportunity has been created for a senior transactions leader to build and lead the capital transactions function for a well-established, privately backed property investment and development group entering its next phase of aggressive growth.

This diversified property group has built a strong reputation through disciplined investment into premium-grade retail assets and regeneration-led development opportunities. With significant private capital now deployed for growth, the business is expanding its mandate nationally across retail, office, industrial and mix-use assets, with a particular focus on existing assets with development or repositioning potential.

The organisation is values-led, commercially driven and highly entrepreneurial, with a proven ability to execute complex transactions and unlock value through active ownership and development. The executive team is experienced, decisive and deeply engaged in the investment process.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created role that will establish and lead the capital transactions function, working directly with the executive leadership team and ownership group.

You will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, executing and ultimately presenting acquisition and disposal opportunities across the national portfolio. Over time, this role will grow into a small, high-performing transactions team, with the successful candidate setting the strategy, systems and standards alongside the Chief Investment Officer from day one.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role for someone who wants to shape a platform, not simply execute within an existing structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end acquisition and disposal process across multiple asset classes nationally

• Scope and originate opportunities through a strong national agent and industry network

• Undertake and oversee financial modelling, feasibility analysis, sensitivity testing and investment structuring

• Present high-quality investment papers and recommendations to executive leadership and owners

• Work closely with internal teams across development, asset management, finance and capital partners

• Drive due diligence, negotiation and transaction execution

• Establish and maintain transaction pipelines, CRM processes and reporting frameworks

• Contribute to broader portfolio strategy, house views and capital allocation decisions

• In time, build and mentor a small transactions team

About You

• 10+ years’ experience in capital transactions, investment management or development origination

• Demonstrated track record of successfully closing complex property transactions

• Strong experience across commercial asset classes (office, industrial and/or mixed-use highly regarded)

• Advanced financial modelling and investment analysis capability

• Confident presenter, able to communicate investment opportunities to sophisticated stakeholders

• Highly networked with agents nationally will be advantageous 

• Commercial, entrepreneurial mindset with strong judgement and integrity

• Comfortable operating alongside with senior executives and owners
