Brisbane Airport Corporation  (BAC) is the custodian of Brisbane Airport, the gateway to Queensland and one of Australia's fastest-growing transport hubs.  Over the next decade BAC will invest $5B in sustainable and transformative infrastructure, shaping the Airport Precinct to meet the needs of our growing region and become the gateway to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Portfolio Manager, the Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of airside infrastructure projects valued up to $100 million. The role involves leading cross-functional project teams, ensuring successful delivery of projects within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards — while upholding BAC’s governance, compliance, and cultural frameworks.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping procurement strategies, managing commercial negotiations, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. Working closely with Development Managers and other Delivery Managers, you will help bring Brisbane Airport’s capital works program to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performing team of project professionals to deliver infrastructure projects aligned to BAC’s strategic plan
  • Ensure consistent delivery of capital projects on time, within scope and budget
  • Develop and implement project packaging and procurement strategies to drive efficiency
  • Drive compliance with BAC’s Project Management Framework and safety requirements
  • Maintain strong commercial acumen in contract administration and negotiation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimise project outcomes
  • Support resource planning and capacity management across future project pipelines
  • Represent BAC as Principal’s Representative as required on contracts
You
To be considered for this role we are seeking:
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in project management with at least 2 years in program or project director roles
  • Strong leadership background managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven experience in administering construction/design contracts
  • Track record of developing and executing procurement strategies
  • Eligible for Project Director certification (AIPM or similar)
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working within a complex stakeholder environment
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standard construction contracts
