Responsibilities
Contract Strategy & Management: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive contract management strategies for EPC, O&M, D&C, and related agreements in the renewable energy sector. Oversee the full contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and close-out, ensuring all contracts align with project objectives and regulatory requirements.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Proactively identify and assess contractual risks, developing robust mitigation strategies. Continuously monitor contract performance to ensure compliance and promptly address any deviations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the principal contact for all contractual matters with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Foster transparent, effective communication to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned throughout project delivery.

Claims & Dispute Resolution: Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes in close collaboration with legal counsel and project teams. Maintain thorough documentation to support claims and ensure fair, efficient resolution.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Contracts Administrators and Officers, encouraging professional development and high performance. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the contracts team.

Financial Oversight: Work alongside finance and project management teams to monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance related to contracts. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing in accordance with contractual terms.

Skills Required

Technical Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in contract management within the construction or renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Australian construction laws and standards.
  • Experience managing complex contracts and leading negotiations.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy projects, particularly solar and battery storage systems, is highly desirable.
Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in all business dealings.
