An established Australian property fund manager is seeking a motivated and commercially minded  Assistant Asset Manager  to join its dynamic asset management team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of office and industrial assets, supporting the active management of high-performing real estate investments.
  
You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to asset-level strategy, and assist in key processes from leasing and capital works to sustainability reporting and financial modelling. Designed as a 1–2 year development opportunity, this role provides a pathway to becoming an Asset Manager with full portfolio oversight.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day management and optimisation of commercial real estate assets.
  • Assist in coordinating external consultants including property managers, leasing agents, and project teams.
  • Participate in leasing activities, marketing strategy, inspections, and lease documentation review.
  • Help implement capital upgrades and value-add initiatives, including overseeing project activities.
  • Maintain tenancy schedules, insurance data, and digital records to ensure assets are transaction-ready.
  • Contribute to investor reporting, financial modelling, and property performance analysis.
  • Monitor sustainability initiatives (NABERS, GRESB) and support annual reporting requirements.
  • Engage with internal teams across transactions, finance, and funds management.
  • Support acquisition and disposal processes, including due diligence and documentation.
  • Comply with company ESG, sustainability, and IT policies.
  • Participate in corporate social responsibility and team-building initiatives.
About You
  • 1–3 years’ experience in commercial property, ideally in property management, valuation, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of real estate fundamentals and a desire to broaden your exposure on the landlord/client side.
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with modelling tools such as Forbury is a plus.
  • Professional, proactive, and eager to learn and grow within a high-performing team.
