Capstone are recruiting for a temp/labour-hire Senior Project Officer (EL1), to work within the ‘Medicines Safety and Quality team’, for an Australian Government entity under the federal Department of Health.  
  • 1 year temp contract to commence ASAP until 30 June 2026.
  • Based in the Sydney CBD with a flexible working arrangement (2/3 days from home per week).
  • Working full-time hours Mon – Fri (37.5 hrs per week)
  • You can be employed either on (a non-ongoing / fixed-term basis paying between $120,829 to $137,808 + 15.4% super + sick leave and annual leave) OR  (employed as an agency temp / labour-hire basis paying between $75 to $88.35ph + 12% super, with no leave entitlements).
   
The Role
This Senior Project Officer will be responsible for developing national guidance for the standardised use of intravenous fluids (IV) in clinical settings, whilst also supporting a range of policy and Medicines Safety and Quality program activities.
The role will entail:
  • finalising the project plan for the development of the national guidance
  • conducting a detailed analysis and synthesis of the environmental scan and literature review on IV fluids
  • undertaking a clinical review of IV fluids used in states/territories and private health service organisations
  • establishing a project advisory group to inform the development of the guidance on IV fluids
  • developing new evidence-based national guidance on the standardised use of IV fluids with consideration of internal and external stakeholder views.
  • preparing high quality written reports, briefs, policies and other documents for a range of audiences on complex healthcare matters.
   
Criteria
  • Demonstrated understanding of medication and clinical safety across the healthcare system.
  • High-quality policy/writing skills with demonstrated ability to write to a range of audiences (published work would be highly regarded).
  • Highly developed research, strategic analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
