About the Role
Join a dynamic Renewables team driving the development, delivery, and connection of utility-scale power generation projects including breakthrough renewable energy assets nationwide. As Renewable Energy Lead for VIC + SA, you’ll champion complex electrical projects, working with major energy developers, solution providers, and network service providers (NSPs).
Your scope will cover the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and connection studies to detailed engineering and construction management for both renewable and conventional generation assets. This is a nationally focused role with flexible location options and ample career growth.
You’ll Lead:
- Engagement with key stakeholders and clients across SA & VIC, unlocking new energy opportunities.
- Coordinating technical design deliverables: SLDs, protection studies, earthing, harmonics, load flows, and more.
- Overseeing development of construction work packs, scopes, and supporting procurement.
- Reviewing contractor and supplier deliverables for compliance with Australian codes and standards.
- Managing generator connection documentation for NSP/AEMO and liaising with partners and consultants.
- Providing leadership across project delivery, including site-based support as needed.
- Supporting high standards of safety, communication, and client satisfaction.
- Degree in Engineering, with Australian-recognised qualifications (Chartered status preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ energy sector experience, including 5+ years in utility-scale power generation.
- Proven record delivering NEM-connected power generation projects.
- Experience with NSPs or delivering technical connection for NSPs.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian codes, the National Electricity Rules (NER), and generator connection processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
- Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
