Are you a construction professional ready to deliver projects that genuinely shape communities? A NSW Government-owned developer focused on sustainable, affordable housing is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their Construction team and help deliver some of Sydney's most significant developments.
About the roleReporting to the Director of Construction, you'll manage the end-to-end delivery of new builds and refurbishment projects — from planning and design through procurement, construction, handover, and defects. You'll run multiple projects concurrently, balancing time, cost, quality, and risk while coordinating contractors, consultants, and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Managing multiple construction projects simultaneously across all delivery phases
- Coordinating contractors, consultants, and stakeholders including government agencies, councils, and private sector partners
- Overseeing procurement and tender processes — RFQs, assessments, and contract administration
- Monitoring project progress, budgets, and contractor performance
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental, and government standards
- Delivering regular reporting and clear, consistent stakeholder communication
- 4+ years' experience delivering building or construction projects
- Strong contract administration and stakeholder management background
- Experience across design, procurement, and construction phases
- Degree in Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar
- Exposure to Tier 1–3 projects or comparable environments
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven setting
You'll be working on a diverse pipeline of high-profile projects across NSW, including:
- A Southwest Sydney precinct delivering 3,900 homes over 15+ years, with mixed housing near transport and a focus on sustainable, connected community design
- A large Western Sydney mixed-use precinct of 4,000 homes, including affordable housing initiatives and town centre activation
- A North Shore mixed-use redevelopment of a former Metro site, with up to 1,500 apartments, essential worker housing, retail, and public space
- A waterfront redevelopment delivering 400 apartments and major public domain upgrades
- Growth-area communities and regional projects focused on new neighbourhoods, affordable housing, and resilient outcomes
You'll report to the Director of Construction, who brings extensive experience across construction, real estate development, and strategic project delivery from senior leadership roles in major property and consulting organisations. You'll work closely with them on key project decisions, governance, and delivery strategy — gaining genuine exposure to complex, high-profile, government-led developments.
This is a chance to do meaningful work: delivering large-scale master planned communities, urban renewal, and affordable and resilient housing outcomes that matter to the people of NSW.
