As the Director Planning and Development, reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead a high-performing directorate of professionals who are dedicated to shaping the future of our community. Together, you will deliver sustainable growth while safeguarding the unique environmental qualities that define our region.
The Director Planning and Development portfolio encompasses Strategic and Statutory Planning, Building Inspections, Economic Development, Environmental and Health, Ranger Services and Noxious Weeds.
In addition, the role is pivotal in building partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, shaping the Shire’s social planning agenda, strengthening interagency collaboration, and guiding access to grant funding opportunities.

In line with the seniority of this appointment, you will hold relevant qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Health/Management, Business Management, Local Government Management, or a related discipline.
