Capstone Government News Update

The Capstone Government team has enjoyed a strong start to 2023 with the formalisation of two key strategic partnerships; Local Government Professionals Australia (NSW) and Local Government Procurement (NSW)

LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROFESSIONALS AUSTRALIA, NSW

We are delighted to announce a two-year corporate partnership with the NSW arm of Local Government Professionals Australia. This partnership formally cements the long term relationship between our organisation and underpins Capstone’s growing Local Government Recruitment division and commitments to deliver exceptional senior and strategic resourcing solutions for Local Councils across NSW.

As part of this partnership Capstone was invited to host a panel discussion at the recent General Manager and Director forum, aptly titled “Mobilising the Current Workforce” which invited debate around the wildly acknowledged skills shortage and explored strategies for building an agile and adaptable workforce to future proof productivity development including the importance of data to identify gaps and mitigate risks.

Gareth Broadrick, Capstone Director of Local Government says, “we are thrilled to cement our long-term partnership with Local Government Professionals. Capstone continues to be driven by our commitment to challenge the status quo and re-invigorate the process that surround people performance and selection. We absolutely understand the importance of the role we play in assisting local government organisations in providing exemplary services to their communities.”

Vicky Mayo CEO of Local Government Professionals Australia, NSW says “Local Government Professionals, NSW is pleased to partner with businesses looking to develop their brand within the NSW local government sector, where we see a values alignment and a shared vision in supporting the sector. Capstone have continually supported our conferences and webinars, and so we are thrilled that they have come on board as a Corporate Partner with us.”

LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT APPROVED SUPPLIER STATUS

Capstone has become an approved supplier of Human Resources & Recruitment Services to NSW based Local Government Organisations, via the Local Government Procurement Panel (LGP808-4), eliminating the need for participating Councils to tender for recruitment services in the future. Our approved contractor status allows us to provide temporary/interim, casual, fixed-term and permanent recruitment of government professionals, managers and executives efficiently to Council’s, enhancing their productivity by minimising resourcing and skill gaps.

About Local Government Procurement
Local Government Procurement (LGP) is a not-for-profit organisation and a ‘prescribed entity’ by legislation, meaning that councils don’t have to go to tender for values greater than the tendering threshold – as they would normally have to. With customers including all NSW councils, regional organisation of councils (ROCs), joint organisations (JOs), non-NSW councils, not-for-profit organisations, universities, state government agencies and departments the LGP focus is on targeted training and consulting supporting sustainable and high value procurement solutions.
